I didn't learn much
back in Economics
101, but.......

I did learn that in order for a capitalist society to survive, there must be GROWTH.  That applies in business, government, banking, and even churches!  In managing our small business, we are acutely aware of this fact and we are equally aware of the fact that our overall population is NOT growing (with the possible exception of illegal immigrants, but that's another story).

As we see it, the great Anglo Saxon middle age, middle income, middle class is no longer a majority, but actually a MINORITY and the numbers are diminishing daily!  So what does that mean to us as a supplier of church equipment and services?  It means that we recognize that the growth in churches is primarily with the young (Under 14), and seniors (Over 65).  Both have special needs and our focus is in serving those needs.  We recognize that there are two other major church growth areas - the un-churched, and immigrants (both legal and illegal).  Since our products and services don't have an application (other than administration, alarm reporting, security, and traffic control) we primarily address the needs of the young, the elderly,  administration, and more recently on security.

Elsewhere on our church web page www.churchradios.us,   we will tell you about our primary services for the young (wireless nursery paging), security, and administrative products.  But for now, our objective is to introduce you to Assistive Listening Devices, better known as ALD's.

An ALD has one function - to allow your hearing impaired members to hear the message.  You can spend as much for an ALD system as you choose.  Before wireless, the most common practice was to wire audio jacks in the back of the pews to allow hearing impaired members to plug in to an amplified audio system.  Some churches still use these systems.  Some of the mega churches use infrared (IR) transmitters mounted at the top of the sanctuary to broadcast the audio content of the service to wireless receivers and associated earpieces worn by members with hearing impairments.

There are two basic problems with both fixed and IR systems.  The first is cost.  Both are expensive.  The second is they are generally limited to use only in the sanctuary.  Special events in the Family Life Center or secondary auditoriums generally are not covered and classrooms are almost never covered.  The problem with this is the secondary meeting rooms in mega churches can easily be larger than the sanctuary of a smaller church.  In some cases, a single classroom can be larger than a small church sanctuary.  Conversely a wireless RF (Radio frequency) system is flexible and inexpensive.  These units can be connected directly to a large sound system or a simple karaoke type device used in classrooms,  When we say inexpensive, we MEAN inexpensive.  Our prices below are for the ALD-800, a wireless 72 MHz. RF system with an operating range of up to 300 feet - more than adequate for the needs of both small and large churches alike.

You can purchase on line by going to www.falcondirect.com/ALDs/prices.   You can purchase with full confidence with full refund privileges if you are not completely satisfied within 15 days after receipt.  All we ask is that you return equipment in undamaged condition with all accessories and printed materials returned prepaid after calling us at 1-800-489-2611 for a return material authorization.
