So, what in the world is
a strategic alliance?
All kinds of people have strategic alliances, or partnerships if you prefer. In essence, a strategic alliance is a partnership between two or more entities who have complimentary talents who choose to work together for the purpose of mutual benefit. In the business world, it is not uncommon for the participants to invest financially in the endeavors of their strategic partner. Sometimes, one acquires the other, but in most cases each organization remains independently owned although they have a common focus. So why are we telling you this? Well - because Falcon Direct has established such a relationship with Integrity Customs of Trussville, Alabama.
Falcon Direct was formed to be a direct sales company. We have engineering, design, and production capability plus very selective service capability in the area of wireless communications, computers, and GPS. We are not set up to efficiently do mobile installation work since our facilities were not designed for this function. Over the years, we have provided limited installation services, both at our facility and at customer locations. Still, we did not feel we had the capabilities needed to do first class installations of mobile radios and related public safety equipment without making a significant investment in facilities and manpower.
As we reviewed the requirements for expanding our installation services, we first reviewed our competitors. We found that they were basically doing business the same way they were fifty years ago. The same technicians floated from one competitor to another, and nothing was very different between one company and another.
Conversely,
we found a new breed of automotive professionals involved in modifying
vehicles. In the old days, they were called car stereo shops. These
organizations installed audio accessories, cruise controls, and security
systems. More recently, the better ones are capable of completely
modifying virtually every vehicle component, whether it involves the body,
electrical system, or even the engine. This new breed of automotive
professionals are in a class by themselves. Unlike auto repair services,
they do not concentrate of repairs. Their objective is enhancement!
To be equipped for automotive enhancement requires some very sophisticated personnel, training and tools that goes far beyond the requirements of an auto repair or 2-way radio service shop. These people know and understand vehicles. We did not feel inclined to enter this market, but we did see the opportunity to work together for the purpose of providing the best installation services available anywhere. The result was the Falcon Direct - Integrity Customs alliance.
By the way, the young man at the left is Andy Allison, an installation technician at Integrity Customs. To see this man at work is poetry in motion!
This new partnership will allow us to provide enhanced services for our Birmingham area metro customers with the ability to install radios, data terminals, GPS tracking devices, light bars, and complete police car installations with wig-wag lights, consoles, prisoner shields, shotgun racks and more. We will continue to do on-site installations where bringing the vehicle to the shop is not practical (such as the recent installation of a vehicle intercom system on a ladder truck near Chattanooga, TN and a vehicle tracking system in Falkville, AL).
We think this partnership will give our customers the best installation service package available anywhere. Better yet, the prices are right and all work is guaranteed. The next time you need a vehicle installation of any type, give us a call locally at 205.854.2611 or toll free at 800.489.2611 for a quote.
As
you may know, we have made a major commitment to the development and
implementation of GPS and vehicle tracking technology. We are currently
developing a low cost tracking system for commercial, institutional, and
governmental users in the Birmingham metro area that will be released shortly.
We will be offering consumer level GPS products through a special web page at www.findthemnow.com as well as through the retail facilities at Integrity Custom. Randy Carter, owner of Integrity Customs will be working with us in offering special devices available for both personal and business use. We invite you to stop by and see Randy and Andy for any automotive enhancement requirement. These guys are professionals. You'll see.
