US Alert NOVA
Tone/Vibe alerting Voice Pager
Monitor or Selective Alert
- VHF or UHF
|
The US Alert NOVA pager is available in several different configurations to meet the specific needs of a variety of users. The standard model, NOVA-HC is ideally suited for use by health care teams who need the efficiency and convenience of an alert pager with voice message capability without the high prices normally associated with voice pagers. All US Alert NOVA pagers are available in standard 25 kHz channel spacing or the new 12.5 kHz narrow band frequencies required by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for new systems (Older systems will also be required to convert to 12.5 kHz channel spacing over the next few years). Your price is the same for VHF High Band (150 -174 MHz) or UHF (450 - 470 MHz) for the 25 kHz models. 12.5 kHz models are slightly more expensive. The NOVA-FP is suited for the needs of fire and rescue users who depend on voice alerting communications and require continuous monitoring after reception of the alert message. For additional information on the difference between an Alert Message Pager and a Monitor pager (one that continues to monitor after the initial message is received), click here. All models have user selectable tone or vibrate alert. You can order without a charger (The NOVA operates from a pair of AAA batteries, either alkaline non-rechargeable or Nickel Cadmium rechargeable). Most users order with rechargeable batteries and desktop charger. Users who want extra loud audio or the ability to control an external device via an internal relay can choose the amplified desk charger. A stored voice option allows you to record and playback incoming messages. If you would like additional information on monitor pagers, please refer to www.firepagers.com The main differences between a Minitor V and NOVA, aside from a small price difference is that the Minitor V can be used in environments such as paint factories and oil refineries where a spark could cause and explosion. The Minitor V is certified for use in these areas and is underwritten with an intrinsically safe rating. Otherwise, the functionality is much the same for both pagers except the NOVA has an LCD display and the ability to time stamp record incoming calls (a very handy feature for validating message reception). The NOVA is a crystal controlled receiver, versus synthesized for the Minitor V which technically gives it an edge for sensitivity. |
