Want
to make your community
a better place to live?
We can help with the
Community
Network Program!
There was once a time when life was safer more simple. We didn't depend on paid protection for our belongings and personal safety. We took care of it ourselves. Then, we went through a period in history where we, as the general public, worked with law enforcement officers as a team. When there was a need to chase a bad guy down and bring him to justice, the Sheriff or Marshall as applicable deputized ordinary citizens to increase the effectiveness of law enforcement. Over time, we came to expect our police officers to do all of our law enforcement as we grew further and further apart.
Now we see a trend where we are coming back together. Programs like Neighborhood Watch, Civilian Corps (a part of Homeland Security) and even semi-vigilante groups such as those in Arizona who are reporting the movement of illegal Mexican aliens represent the need for working together. Traditionally, municipal, county, and federal agencies have also suffered from separatism rather than working together in full cooperation. Now we see signs of these agencies working together, not in particular because they have some higher goal, but of recognizing the absolute necessity of working together. So, we are experiencing some success in the neighborhood and within government agencies. Regrettably, the ones who would benefit the most from working together are not. In particular, we note a significant need for business, church, and school users to develop advanced programs to enhance the safety of those involved in these activities. We believe this can be done by working more closely with others with similar needs and with local law enforcement where possible.
The Community Network
Program is a partnership between business, government, and institutional
members who are dedicated to making their communities safer by working together.
The Community
Network Program (CNP) is an outgrowth of an improved courtroom safety
program developed by Falcon Direct. The
original program was known as the Companion Program. The concept was to first
provide wireless call buttons for clerks, judges, and juvenile probation
officers to quickly summon law enforcement assistance when required.

These buttons transmit a digital coded message that activates a Central
Processing Unit (CPU) that in turn transmits a voice message with location
information directly to all units of a participating law enforcement agency
(municipal or county as applicable) to get help as quickly as possible.
These devices have proven to be applicable for use by merchants, churches, and schools as well. The result is the development of the new Community Network Program. We think youll like it!

For
those communities that have had enough of diminishing tax revenues as merchants
move away, increased insurance rates for those that stay and continued
victimization by thugs with no respect for life or property, we offer a crime
fighting alternative. We call it the Community Network Program (CNP).
Why we developed the CNP
Program
There
are several variations of the CNP Program.
To understand CNP, we need to review earlier systems.
Historically, call buttons have been used at banks, grocery stores and
other high-risk locations. Generally,
this involves a button underneath a counter or next to a cash register.
Once
activated, an automatic telephone dialer connects to a third party alarm
service. When connected, a
pre-recorded message is sent to a call center operator who then relays the
message to the nearest 911 operator who then dispatches the call to the first
available law enforcement officer via 2-way radio.
The average response time averages six to eight minutes.
There are two costs
associated with traditional service offered by security service providers
the cost of purchasing and maintaining the equipment, the cost of a phone line
(a dedicated phone line is normally recommended), plus the monthly cost for
monitoring and dispatch service.
The problem with phone line
dependent systems, aside from cost, is the time lost in getting the message to a
responding officer. Most hit and
run robberies are completed in less than four minutes.
If the average response time for a wired system is six minutes, you can
quickly see that such systems are ineffective.
It begins with a family of products known as The Companion System. The diagram below provides an overview of this remarkable wireless alerting system. The Companion is designed for direct notification to law enforcement although it can be directed to private security services or other first responders as desired.

High-risk
locations, such as banks, convenience stores, and check cashing services, liquor
stores, pawnshops, grocers, restaurants, and others who handle cash are easy
targets for hit and run armed robbers. Generally,
these assailants are in and out in less than four minutes.
Guess
what the typical response time is for URBAN law enforcement?
Typically more than six minutes! With
Companion and a participating law enforcement agency, response time can
drop to two minutes or less!
Things are safer these days for
merchants at high robbery risk locations in Evergreen, Alabama. Banks,
cash advance services, convenience stores, liquor stores, pawnshops, and other
retailers are easy targets for hit and run robbers. A new system, known as the Companion-PB
developed in association with the Evergreen Alabama Police Department and Falcon
Direct makes Evergreen a better place to live, work, and play. This system could
be available in YOUR area. Details are available at www.info4u.us/payday.html.
