for the most suitable radios for those we serve are based on a number of factors including desired features, functionality, size, weight, expandability, and cost of operation. Saying this another way, this does not mean the least expensive radio is the best value. For your convenience, we have prepared a comparison chart that will allow you to quickly determine if a selected radio incorporates the features desired at the price you want to pay.
The price of your radio will include programming for up to 16 channels. For additional channels, you have the choice of paying an additional programming charge of $1.00 per channel, purchasing a cloning cable and programming the remaining radios yourself (only available on a few models), or purchasing a PC programming kit which will allow both cloning and programming changes as desired. We always recommend the antenna and battery upgrade as well as the TotalCare service plan.
